Overview
Teaching Assistant for the Computer & Big Data practicum course. This lab session provided hands-on application of theoretical concepts taught in lectures, enabling Marine Science students (Class of 2021) to develop practical skills in Python programming and data processing through direct and guided practice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivered a weekly class sessions to Marine Science students class of 2021, covering in fundamental Python programming (Installing, data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization (Matplotlib))
- Facilitated a smooth learning experience by providing immediate, hands-on assistance to students facing technical hurdles, from library installation errors to logical flaws in their code
- Designed and managed a final group project simulating a real-world data analysis workflow, where students sourced datasets from Kaggle, performed visual analysis, and presented their findings by a video presentation.
