Research Internship

Overview

Digistar Class Intern: Fresh Graduate Batch 1 is an internship program organized by Telkom Indonesia for recent bachelor's degree graduates. Selected as a Business Analyst among 5,800+ total applicants. During this internship, I gained comprehensive experience in the telecommunications industry business operations, developed essential soft skills through classes (design thinking, communication, etc.), and enhanced technical capabilities through hard skill classes (artificial intelligence).

Main Responsibilities:

• Correlated oceanographic data (SST, chlorophyll-a, salinity) with the presence of Skipjack Tuna using MATLAB to identify and map the environmental conditions that define their prime habitats in the WPP 573 region
• Mapped oceanic frontal zones (thermal and chlorophyll-a) using ArcGIS, MATLAB and MS Excel to pinpoint areas of high biological productivity, which are key indicators for potential fishing grounds
• Carried out research title “Identifying the Correlation Between Thermal Front Values and Chlorophyll-a Concentrations Affected by ENSO and IOD Phenomena in the WPP NRI 573 waters” as a final project

Impact

• Gained advanced knowledge in oceanographic data processing and analysis techniques.
• Developed understanding of the relationship between meteorology and oceanography in marine ecosystems.
• Enhanced critical thinking and systematic research methodology skills.
