Overview

Provided marine data processing services for a client's thesis research, focusing on tidal data analysis from Pekalongan waters using the T_Tide package in MATLAB. This specialized toolbox enabled comprehensive harmonic analysis of tidal patterns, extracting key tidal constituents and generating long-term predictions until 2050 to support oceanographic research and coastal planning.

Analysis Workflow

  • Data Collection & Preparation - Received tidal water level data from client, performed data cleaning to ensure accuracy
  • Harmonic Analysis - Utilized T_Tide MATLAB package to decompose tidal signals into harmonic constituents (M2, S2, K1, O1, etc.)
  • Statistical Analysis - Calculated tidal characteristics, analyzed patterns, and validated results against known tidal behavior
